What you get

The editor creates a portable archive of PNG frames rather than an intermediate video. Original mode keeps the displayed source resolution and encodes the decoded pixels as lossless PNG.

How to use the converter

Choose an MP4, MOV, WebM, or MKV file. Set the trim, cuts, and output rate, review the estimate, then extract the selected frames. The source file stays on your device while you edit.

Choose the right output rate

Use the original rate when every decoded frame matters. Choose a fixed rate when you need a predictable cadence for a storyboard, dataset, or downstream tool. Chrona skips or duplicates decoded frames; it does not invent in-between images.
